Jan. 11, 7:22 a.m.: Assist Fire. Caller advised a CO alarm in the 700 block of Ash St. Police assistance was not requested.

EMS

Jan. 11, 7:26 a.m.: Assist Squad. Caller advised a female potentially having a medical emergency in 100 block of Morrow St. Police assistance was not requested.

Jan. 11, 9:11 a.m.: Assist Squad. Caller advised a female potentially having a medical emergency in 100 block of Blackwell Dr. Police assistance was not requested.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

Jan. 11, 7:43 a.m.: Caller advised female crying on the sidewalk in the 900 block of New Haven Rd. Complainant wanted her checked on. Upon arrival, the area was checked and female was not located.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

Jan. 11, 8:13 a.m.: Caller advised a dog was running around the residence in the 500 block of S. Main St. Caller said the dog appeared aggressive. The dog appeared aggressive when officers attempted to approach the dog. The animal shelter responded to the location and took possession of the dog.

THEFT NOT IN PROGRESS

Jan. 11, 9:13 a.m.: ACE Hardware, at 1942 W Covington Ave, reported a known male stole a tool set. The male was not located and he was charged with theft. A warrant was requested for his arrest.

ASSIST OTHER AGENCY

Jan. 11, 11:46 a.m.: Subject from gas company on scene in the 1600 block of W. Grant St. to shut off gas service to a residence. He asked that I try to make contact with the resident due to an alarm sounding inside the house. A neighbor advised that the house was vacant and the resident died in May 2022. Neighbor said the former resident’s daughter checks on the house from time to time. Notice of the service shut off was left on the door.

ASSIST CITIZEN

Jan. 11, 12:33 p.m.: Complainant advised he heard someone use a racial slur in his home in 600 block of Young St., and wondered what he can have done about it. I advised him that this was not a crime and to ignore the subject.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Jan. 11, 3:12 p.m.: Report of subjects trying to get the complainant to fight in the 700 block of Mckinley Ave. Upon arrival the subjects were gone and the complaint was advised to call back if they returned.

DRUGS

Jan 11, 8:37 p.m.: Police responded to the residence for a report of a subject smoking marijuana in the 1200 block of Camaro Ct. Officers made contact with an unidentified female occupant of the residence, who denied anyone smoking marijuana. They did not observe any evidence of drug abuse at this time.
