Life’s Reflections: Easter is observed; new life is beginning

ANSONIA—Wow. This winter has been a dreary one for me. However, I’m so glad we didn’t get real horrible weather like we could have experienced now that I look back on it.

Even though there was snow, we here in Darke County really didn’t get an unbearable accumulation for which I am grateful. Everyone probably knows the older I get, the more I dread to see that white stuff especially if it comes in mounds and there is ice involved.

For some reason this Easter weekend has made me realize it’s really all about new birth and new ideas. I’ve been in a slump lately and feel like a slacker but I am hoping to pick up the pace and get going with myself…all for the better if that’s possible.

Yes, when I can’t sleep at night I sit there figuring out all of the things I want to get done the next day, but when I awake there is no ambition. That’s got to stop!

I am truly excited about some interviews I have been doing, especially one that is coming out this week. I am not going to divulge that one just yet, because I am still working on it.

A hint is the photo that accompanies this column. It was really a fun interview and it opened my eyes to the fact that we have to make more of ourselves. I have been having a lot of pain in my legs and feet and am trying to solve those issues on my own. And, I think I am now on my fourth set of sinus issues since winter began, and I blame that on the strange weather we have been having.

Maybe it’s the warming of temperatures, but I can’t wait to get back to the old me. So bear with me. I have some doctor’s appointments coming up and I sure wish for good news so I can follow through on my get-well plan. So, you might say I am turning over a new leaf. ‘Tis the season.

I know there are a lot of other people who are experiencing worse problems and I empathize with them, so I should be satisfied to handle the cards I have been dealt in my own health.

I love life and my family and friends and hope to continue on that path. Now, I can stop venting and open my eyes to new opportunities and have faith that it can be done.
