GREENVILLE – A young racer from Greenville named Trevar Martin, son of Jeff and Mandy Martin, made headlines as he clinched 1st place at the AMA Grand Championships in Illinois, riding his 450 stock KTM. This victory was the culmination of years of passion and dedication.

Trevar’s journey began at the tender age of 4 when he first hopped on a motorcycle. Inspired by his father, who raced in enduro events through the woods, Trevar was introduced to the thrill of riding at just 3 years old on a small bike.

“I was hooked ever since,” Trevar said.

When asked about his favorite part of racing, he said, “It has to be passing for the lead in the corners.”

However, racing isn’t without its challenges. For Trevar, the hardest part is the start, especially on short dirt tracks where getting to the front can be quite the battle.

Looking ahead, Trevar has big dreams.

“My future plans are to go pro at Lima, Ohio, and aim for a top 5 finish. I also want to race more mile tracks and hope to secure a top 10,” he shared with determination.

You can catch Trevar racing at The Great Darke County Fair later this month. With his talent and passion, the Greenville kid is just getting started on his racing adventure.
