Skill events and descriptions:
Players will have one minute to take as many penalty kicks as they can, with helpers feeding them balls. Point targets will be placed inside the goal, with point values based on the difficulty of the shot. The points will be 2, 5, and 10. The result will be the total points scored.
- Longest punt
Players will have 3 chances to punt a soccer ball. The longest kick distance will be recorded, and the result will be based on the yards kicked.
- Passing
Players will have 10 chances to complete a 2-touch pass to specified targets on the pitch. Points will be awarded per target hit based on the difficulty of the pass. Point values will be 1, 5, and 10. The result will be the total points scored.
Cross and Volley
Players will work in pairs to score as many points as possible during a 60-second timed round. For each goal scored, points will be awarded as follows: scissors or bicycle kick – 20 points, standard volley-15 points, Header or controlled touch and goal (can’t hit the ground)- 10.
Players will be paired up as opposing goalies. 2 approximate 1⁄2 size goals will be placed 36 yards apart. Rounds will be 90 seconds in length. Goalies may throw, punt, or kick in an attempt to score on their opponent using an alternating shot format. After a shot is taken by their opponent, the goalie will have 6 seconds to recover the ball and take their shot within a marked 12-yard area. Goalies will be awarded 1 point per goal scored and 2 points per blocked shot. The result will be the total points scored.
Checks to be made payable to: Greenville Athletic Boosters
