VERSAILLES – All four WOAC girls’ golf teams competed at Stillwater Valley Golf Course in the OHSAA DII Sectional Tournament played at Versailles.

Arcanum finished in a tie with Versailles shooting 437 defaulting to the 5th player’s score as the tie breaker.  Since the Trojans didn’t have a 5th player, the Tigers prevailed advancing to the district tournament.

Arcanum senior Brooke Anderson tied Alex Kinney of Indian Lake and needed a playoff hole to see who would earn the last individual spot with Kinney advancing.

Tri-Village finished in 8th place shooting a 442, National Trail 10th with a 461 and Ansonia 15th with 540.

A hard luck day for Arcanum senior women’s golfer Brooke Anderson the team lost a tie-breaker to qualify for district. Anderson also tied for the last individual spot and just missed out on advancing after one play-off hole. (Dale Barger photo)
