GREENVILLE – The Green Wave varsity boys baseball team lost a 6-4 MVL game in the late innings to the visiting Piqua Indians.
“I can’t ask for much more from our guys,” said Greenville coach Adam Eberwein. “Our guys played an excellent game, they gave it everything they had.”

“Piqua is undefeated in the MVL, they’re 8-0, they have 2 losses on the season,” Eberwein continued. “We’ve been preaching to our guys to come out and play complementary baseball.”

“The experiences these boys are getting at this time is only going to make our program better in the long run,” Coach Eberwein stated. “These guys are giving everything they have, they’ve earned the positions they’re playing. These young guys are competitors and the future is bright.”

“You put the ball in play good things will happen,” added Eberwein. “Today we did that. We put the ball in play. Kudos to Piqua for making some defensive plays they needed to.”
