PIQUA – The Greenville boys varsity tennis team swept the Piqua Indians 5-0 in MVL action to improve to 5-4 overall on the season and 3-1 in conference play.

“Nice to get a dominant league win,” said Greenville coach Sam Bowers. “We did what we expected to do and everyone played well.”

Winning matches for Greenville included singles players  Mason Pierri, Kaitlin Combs, and Daniel Kerns. The winning doubles teams of Simon Snyder / Drew Beisner and Eli Willis / Avery Yount rounded out the Thursday night sweep.

“Mason Pierri had a big win over a kid who beat him last year,” Coach Bowers stated. “Mason was able to get some revenge and bring home a win this year. He is starting to hit his stride and pick up where he left off last season leading our team doing so.”

Greenville boys tennis hosts another great non-conference opponent in Northwestern High School, Friday, April 19th with a 4:30 p.m. start time.
