ST. HENRY – Versailles football will enter the playoffs on a five-game losing streak. The Tigers fell to St. Henry Friday night, 17-10. The Tigers will travel to Lewistown to take on the 8-2 Indian Lake Lakers.
The Tigers and Redskins battled for field position early, with neither team able to score. The Redskins would finally break through just before the half on a 23-yard pass to take a 7-0 lead with 1:40 left in the first half.

The Tigers Jace Watren scored on an 86-yard kickoff return 15 seconds later. Leland Bolin’s extra point would tie the game at seven. The Tigers would force a punt with little time left in the half. The Tigers moved to the Redskin 16, where Bolin would hit a 33-yard field goal as the half ended.
The Redskins took a 14-10 lead on an 11 yards pass early in the fourth quarter. The Tigers would start to self-destruct with turnovers. The Tigers threw an interception that was returned to the Tigers’ 20-yard line. The defense would hold the Redskins out of the end zone, but they would take a 17-10 lead on a 24-yard field goal.

The Tigers marched down the field with a first-and-goal at the ten-yard line. Ethan Wilker hit Jace Watren for a ten-yard touchdown, but the Tigers were called for offensive pass interference and moved back to the 25-yard line. They failed to score with time running short.

The Tiger defense again held the Redskins to punt with 1:30 left. The Tigers would throw an interception on fourth down on their last chance at victory. The Redskins ran out the clock for the victory.
