Joyful Jets 4-H Club holds October meeting

DARKE COUNTY – On October 20, the Joyful Jets 4-H Club met at the Johnson’s family home outside of Ithaca for the club 4-H awards meeting. Before the meeting club members and their families enjoyed a carry in dinner to celebrate the year in 4-H, prior to dinner Devotions Leader, James Enicks, prayed. Advisor, Susan Peele, called the meeting to order and Secretary, Cheyenne Swisher, did roll call.

In Old Business, club awards and premium money were awarded to all members present. Officer awards were given to all of the 2024 officers for their leadership throughout the year. Brooklyn Miller received a 10-year award for a pen and pencil set. The recipient of the Club Outstanding Boy Award was Isaac Wiant and Brooklyn Longenecker received the Outstanding Girl Award. Both were awarded for their outstanding achievement and participation in the club throughout the year. Leader Awards were given to Cindy Miller, Bill Wantz, Michele Enicks, Krista Fourman-Unger, and Tammy Leugers for their service to the club throughout the year. In New Business, sign up if you would like to serve on the Christmas Party Committee and the election of the 2025 officers will be held at the next meeting.

James Enicks gave a devotion and members enjoyed a hay ride provided by Alex Johnson to conclude the meeting.

The next meeting will be November 12th at 6:00 pm at Trinity Methodist Church.
