TIPP CITY – The City of Tipp City will accept applications and conduct testing to establish an eligibility list for Lateral Police Officer Positions. This Civil Service position has a starting wage of $31.94 to $41.82 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

The applicant for Lateral Police Officer Positions must be currently employed as a police officer, deputy sheriff or state highway patrol officer and maintain a current State of Ohio Peace Officer Certification for at least one (1) year. Applicants must be 21 years of age on the examination date and a high school graduate. Additional credit will be applied to Veterans of the United States Military and applicants with a post-secondary degree from an accredited college or university.

An application packet is available online at www.tippcityohio.gov in the employment section of the website or may be obtained at the Tipp City Police Department, 260 S. Garber Dr., Tipp City, Ohio, daily between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.

The completed application packet and all documentation specified in the packet must be returned to the Tipp City Police Department no later than 4 pm on August 7, 2024. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The Police Department lobby is open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday and from 8 am to 4 pm on Friday.
