Thomas “Bud” Stephenson, age 89, of Bradford, passed away at 11:30 am Thursday, April 3, 2025, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Bud was born June 17, 1935, in Piqua, Ohio, to the late Samuel & Helen (Weymer) Stephenson. Bud was also preceded in death by a daughter, Renee Stephenson; brothers, Sam, Bill, and Robert Stephenson; and sisters, Pam Stephenson, Marilyn Morton, and Elaine Patterson.
Bud is survived by his wife of 72 years, Jeanette (Weidner) Stephenson whom he married June 17, 1952; daughters & sons-in-law, Linda & Frank Brown of Greenville, Pat Niswonger of Greenville, Mary Jo Martin of Bradford, and Connie & Larry Yohey of Rossburg; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Bruce & Patty Stephenson of Cincinnati; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bud farmed and retired from Cadillac Gage where he was a machinist. Bud was a member of the American Shetland Pony Club, Darke County Pony Club, and served as Director of the Area 2 Shetland Pony Club for 24 years.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Brent Wooddell officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
