Paula Jean Anthony, age 73, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Wayne Hospital, Everheart Hospice Care Center in Greenville, Ohio.
She was born on January 10, 1952, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Wayne and Bernice Arnett.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Arnett, Emerson Arnett Jr., sister and brother-in-law, Connie and John Myers and brother-in-law, David Simon.
Paula is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jason (Traci) Anthony of Versailles, daughters and sons-in-law, Paulieanna (Benjamin) Tripp of Union City, Jennifer (Scott) Fitzgerald of Greenville. Her grandchildren are Connor Anthony, Caroline Anthony, Siera (Dylan) Moore, Payge Tripp, Ean Tripp, Andrew Kocher, Jack Fitzgerald, and Grant Fitzgerald. Great-grandchildren, Grayson and Ella Moore. Her sister Becky Simon, brother Gary Arnett, brother and sister-in-law, Larry (Cari) Arnett, sister-in-law, Joanne Arnett and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Paula will be fondly remembered in her early years as a crafty, thrifty homemaker who knew her way around a kitchen and how to stretch a dollar. As she transitioned to work outside of the home, she was referred to by many as a hard worker who did not know a stranger. In Paula’s spare time, she would partake in flea markets and truly loved the thrill of a good bargain. She enjoyed sharing her finds with those who needed them. She delighted in staying current with the latest streaming shows and sharing her favorite ones. She will be missed by all who truly knew her.
There will be no services scheduled at this time. A private celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home.
