Online workshop for family caregivers; daily care of dementia

594

A Free, Online Workshop for Family Caregivers-Daily Care of Dementia: March 13 from 11 am-12 pm presented by The Area Agency on Aging, PSA 2.

Caring for a loved one with dementia can be challenging. Understanding the brain changes experienced by the person living with dementia helps caregivers anticipate and overcome barriers to meeting the person’s needs. This presentation will offer an opportunity for caregivers to troubleshoot the daily challenges of caregiving for a person living with dementia using recommendations based on occupational therapy principles and evidence-based practice. The presenter is Kettering College Occupational Therapy Doctoral Student Eliza Brandenburg.

Registration is requested by March 11 to receive the Zoom Link before the workshop. Contact Mary Hairston by email (mhairston@info4seniors.org) or phone (937-341-6944) to register.  To learn more, visit  https://info4seniors.org/caregiver-workshops/

All attendees located in our nine counties will receive a free copy of “Powerful Tools for Caregivers” book.
