Sheriff Grey reports that two Deputies from the Mercer County Sheriff Office extradited 27-year-old Shelby Preslar from Wake County, North Carolina on Feb. 1, 2023.
Ms. Preslar was being held at the Wake County Detention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina on local charges and on a holder from our agency. Ms. Preslar refused to sign extradition paperwork to be voluntarily extradited back to Ohio.
The Mercer County Prosecutors Office applied for and received a governor’s warrant to have Ms. Preslar brought back to Ohio to face her charges. Ms. Preslar has an indictment with multiple charges out of Common Pleas Court. A list of her charges are attached to this email on the Governor’s Warrant signed by Governor DeWine. Ms. Preslar is wanted in two other jurisdictions. She will have a bond hearing in Common Pleas Court at a later date.
