On January 21, 2023, we lost an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Jeff was born February 8, 1955, to Fay and Pauline Shoemaker of Winchester Indiana. He was the spoiled brother of Connie (Max) Jennings and Debbie (Mark)Hollingsworth all of Winchester Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jennie Shoemaker.
On August 19, 1973, he married the love of his life Pam (Hawley) Shoemaker. Together they blessed this world with the “Shoemaker Boys”- Jeremy (Sonya) of Florida and Andy (Katie) of Greenville, Ohio. They made their home in Union City, Ohio for 47 years. Austin, Kaylee, and Wyatt Shoemaker, all called him Grandpa Shoe. Jeff was also uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Despite his great fear of snakes and large bodies of water, he and Pam moved to Homosassa, Florida. He retired from Whirlpool in August 2022. He was previously employed at Burger Chef, Omco, Crown, Beckett Bronze, and as Pam’s personal home improvement/ remodeling jack of all trades.
Jeff enjoyed many hobbies over the years including bowling, camping, and racing RC cars. Special thanks to Melissa Sills, Rob Mallory, Vicky Eley, Ray Watts, Robbie & John Simmons for being by Pam’s side in Florida through this challenging time.
The family will welcome friends, family, in-laws, and outlaws to Celebrate Jeff’s life on February 12, 2023, between 1-4 pm at the Preservation Community Room 101 N. Columbia Street, Union City Indiana. Please dress casually so we can recognize you. Flowers and donations are not necessary. Jeff’s final wishes were for cremation.
