Maple Syrup Festival

The Maple trees are tapped, and the sap is being collected for the annual Maple Syrup Festival at Hueston Woods State Park. 

PREBLE COUNTY – Celebrating its 57th year, the Maple Syrup Festival is hosted on the grounds of the beautiful Hueston Woods State Park. This festival is held the first two weekends in March, and this year in 2023 those dates are as follows: March 4th – 5th and March 11th – 12th.

The tour of the area concludes at the Hueston Woods Sugar House, where you can purchase syrup, food, beverages, and more

PANCAKES AT THE LODGE 

8 am – 1 pm, Hueston Woods Lodge

Each day begins with all-you-can-eat pancakes at the Trailblazing Dining Room inside the Hueston Woods Lodge (5201 Lodge Road, College Corner) from 8 am – 1 pm. Prices for Adults & Children will be announced.

HAYRIDES & TOURS 

12 pm – 4 pm, Hueston Woods Beach

Meet at the Hueston Woods Beach parking lot to board a FREE hayride. This ride will take you to the starting point for the guided hike. During your hike through the Big Woods (a designated State Nature Preserve), you’ll learn all about the art of syrup production.

The Sugar House area is on the shores of Acton Lake providing a beautiful backdrop for the event.

The tour ends at the Hueston Woods Sugar House, where you can purchase syrup, food, beverages, and more. No dogs or other pets are allowed on tour.

TOUR THE NATURE CENTER 

10 am – 6 pm, Hueston Woods Nature Center

Stop by the Hueston Woods Nature Center for both indoor and outdoor exhibits about reptiles, foxes, and birds of prey!
