BERNE, Ind. – The Lady Indians beat the South Adams Starfires 44-41 last Friday. UC started out slow and trailed the Starfires by 7 at the half. The Indians outscored the Starfires in the third quarter and trailed by just one as the fourth quarter started. They wouldn’t look back after that. The Indians never gave up and worked hard to get back in the game and with some clutch baskets and clock management the Lady Indians sealed the win. They were led by Lulu with 28 points and 15 rebounds. Black added 8 points and Ordonez had 4 steals.
The Indians are now 4-2 and will take a holiday break and play again on Wednesday, November 29.
