GREENVILLE – The Great Darke County Fair and the Darke County Tractor Pullers Association (DCTPA) hosted the National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) to a Tuesday night pull in front of the grandstands.

“It’s a beautiful day, and this track took a lot of power,” said long-time NTPA trackside announcer Alan Washburn. “The Great Darke County Fair, there is nothing else that you can say except it is The-Great-Darke-County-Fair, some of the best food in the country, right here in Darke County.”

Greenville’s Mike Palmer took first place with a pull of 382.980 with Red Avenger in the Light Pro Stock Tractors division in the last pull of the night and earned a second-place finish in the Hot Farm Tractors.

“It was a good track, we weighed it right, got the right gear, and we got lucky,” said Palmer. “I am very tickled. I ran the Hot Farm in the earlier class and came in second, but I got first with this one, and I am extremely proud of that. I have to thank my family most of all for this.”

The regional NTPA event at the 2025 Great Darke County Fair, as always, was a well-run event with the Darke County Tractor Pullers preparing the track and keeping it in great shape the entire pull.

“We had a good show,” said DCTPA announcer Keith Horst. “We had a lineup of 55 vehicles here tonight. We had an excellent afternoon session here today with a lot of vehicles. We had a good evening of pulling.
