SPRINGFIELD – Greenville’s Ethan Sunsdahl qualified for districts by shooting a 79 in sectional golf action.
The Green Wave senior was in a two-way playoff for the final spot with both players parring the first hole. Sunsdahl bogeyed while his opponent double bogeyed advancing Sunsdahl in OHSAA tournament play.
“So happy for Ethan,” said Greenville coach, Brian Stickle. “He has put a lot of time and effort into this season to get to this point. He missed out last year in a playoff so it was nice to see him win this one.”
“As a team, we didn’t quite play like we did last week,” he added. ”However, the boys never gave up.”
