DISORDERLY
July 24, 2025 – At approximately 7:09 am was dispatched to 5438 St Rt 49 Apt #14 in reference to a male subject being disorderly. Prior to arrival, officers had prior knowledge that this was Doug Allsup’s apartment.
Upon arrival, I spoke to the complainant and victim, Rebecca Thwaits. Rebecca stated that when she arrived at her apartment, Doug was outside, screaming at the two other victims, Gerald Paul and Hattie Tittle, attempting to fight them. Rebecca said that Doug then returned to his doorway holding a baseball bat. She also said she was scared and had to stay by her van.
Gerald and Hattie stated that they were taking a walk around the trailer park when Doug came outside aggressively screaming at them. continued to come at him, causing him to be threatened. All victims were able to complete victims’ rights forms and statements. Doug was issued a citation for disorderly conduct for causing inconvenience, annoyance or alarm by engaging in threatening harm in violent or turbulent behavior.
Officers attempted to speak with Doug to get his side of the story, but he refused to calm down. Doug screamed and cussed at officers refusing to cooperate, Sgt. Marion was able to give him a witness statement to complete. Doug was issued a copy of his citation and advised of his court date and time.
DOMESTIC
July 26, 2025 – At 1:42 am I was dispatched to 222 Euclid Ave in reference to a domestic dispute incident. Myself and Sgt. Smith made contact with Aleecia Bryant, who was our suspected victim. Bryant stated that she had been in a verbal disagreement with her father, Travis Bogle, earlier in the day but that she was fine. Bryant did have a small injury to her lip, but advised that she had bit down on her own lip, causing the injury.
Bryant was asked if there were any children in the house and she stated that there were not. Bryant was then asked if she was ok and if she felt safe and she advised that she did and that there were no further issues.
July 26, 2025 – At approximately 4:50 pm, I responded to 418 Warren Street in the City of Greenville in reference to a theft.
Upon my arrival, I made contact with the complainant, Kaleb Bowman. Kaleb stated that upon returning home today, he noticed that the metal yellow and black toy Tonka dump truck he had left in the bed of his truck was missing. Kaleb stated that he had left some of his son’s toys in the bed of his truck from the night before. Kaleb stated that upon reviewing his doorbell camera footage from overnight, he noticed a male subject riding a tricycle down Warren Street at approximately 0205 hours. This male then turns around and can be seen stopping by the bed of Kaleb’s truck. This male then reaches into the bed of Kaleb’s truck and can be seen removing the Tonka dump truck before riding the bicycle away with the toy. Due to previous encounters, I positively identified this male as Jerry Kaufhold.
Upon speaking with Kaleb further about this incident, he stated that upon seeing Jerry on the camera footage, he attempted to reach out to him. Kaleb is familiar with Jerry due to Kaleb’s wife, Alexis, being related to Jerry. Upon reaching out to Jerry, he told Kaleb that he had only taken the truck to mess with Kaleb. Jerry stated that he rode the bicycle a few blocks away and left the dump truck on the side of Hiddeson Avenue. Kaleb stated that he wanted the dump truck returned and wanted Jerry charged.
I then attempted to make contact with Jerry at his last known address of 800 East Fifth Street. Upon arriving at this residence, I was advised by Glenn Julian that Jerry no longer lives at this address. Glenn stated that Jerry and his wife, Robin, now reside with Robin’s daughter, Hayley Delaney.
Upon arriving at Haley’s address of 212 Olive Street, I spoke with Robin Kaufhold. Robin stated that she had not seen Jerry in multiple days and that he does not live at this address. During this conversation, Jerry’s tricycle was parked in the yard of this address. Robin then called Hayley on the phone, who gave P. O. Kreitzer and I consent to search the residence for Jerry. Jerry was not located inside the residence.
Upon speaking with Robin’s granddaughter, she stated that Jerry had been at the residence overnight, but she did not know when he left. As I continued to speak with Robin about Jerry’s whereabouts, P. O. Kreitzer observed the bushes towards the rear of the property continuing to move unnaturally.
Based on the extensive training P. O. Kretizer received at the United States Army Cavalry Scout Qualification course, he was able to detect human-like movement in these bushes. Upon further investigation, Jerry was located hiding in the bushes of the residence. Jerry removed himself from the shrubs and admitted to the offense of stealing the toy truck. Jerry stated that he left the toy on Hiddeson Avenue and attempted to find it later. Jerry stated that the toy was gone when he returned for it.
Kaleb completed a written statement and a victim’s rights form in reference to this incident. Kaleb also emailed the doorbell camera footage to our records department that will also be attached to this report. Jerry was cited for the theft of Kaleb’s toy Tonka dump truck, a misdemeanor of the first degree.
