SPRINGFIELD – The Green Wave varsity boys golf team shot a 321 to finish second overall at the MVL tournament. With the second-place finish Greenville earned a fourth-place finish overall for the season in conference play.

“Definitely one of the best scores and finishes we have had in a long time,” said Greenville coach, Brian Stickle.

Ethan Sunsdahl had the seventh best score with a 77. Aidan Honeyman and Drew Beisner finished with 81’s. Cole Oswalt shot an 82 to round out the scoring. Aaron Lavy shot an 87 and Bryce Blumenstock a 91.

“What a day,” Coach Stickle stated. “Career lows for Aidan, Drew and Cole. Cole makes a long eagle putt for his 82. Ethan was consistent all day. Aaron and Bryce played well, just had a couple bad holes. Really, really proud of the way the boys played today.

The Greenville boys golf team will play Tuesday in the OHSAA Sectional tournament.
