GREENVILLE – The Greenville Girls Softball association hosted 27 teams to the annual Treaty City Shootout Tournament featuring Rec and All-Star teams in 8U, 10U and 12U action.

“A great weekend for softball,” GGSA President, Eric Fellers said. “We had a little delay on Saturday but we got the fields back in shape and the rest of the rain held off. It has been a great weekend for the community and a great weekend for Greenville Girls Softball.”

Greenville took the championship trophy in the 8U defeating Troy for first place. Tipp City won the 10U division with a win over runner-up Madison. Greenville earned the 12U title with a win over Parkway.

“We had teams from all over the place out here,” said Fellers. “The farthest one was London, we had some teams from Madison County. A lot of help and support from parents and officers. Overall it has been a great weekend.”

The Treaty City Shootout brings the curtain down on the GGSA summer season. September 11th starts Fall Ball for GGSA.

“This is the last one for the summer,” Fellers noted. “We are going to try and host a travel ball tournament in October if we get enough teams but this winds down the summer season. We’ll get started back up in September with Fall Ball.”
