Gary Lee Mendenhall age 87, of Hollansburg passed away at 10:07 pm Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy.
Gary was born March 9, 1937, in Eaton, Ohio, to the late George & Pauline (Young) Mendenhall. Gary is also preceded in death by a brother, Benny Mendenhall; half-brothers, Joe Wood and Sonny Wood; and a half-sister, Suzie Mendenhall.
Gary is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law, Kelly & Dwayne Landrey of Danville, Indiana, and Jodi & Mark Schlechty of New Madison; half-brothers, Butch Mendenhall and PeeWee Mendenhall; and half-sister, Janet (Dann) Barkley Frank.
Gary served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Belden in Richmond, Indiana. Gary was a member of the Greenville Moose. He was an avid coon hunter, hunting daily well into his early 80’s.
