GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Thursday afternoon.
Commissioners Matt Aultman, Marshall Combs, and Aaron Flatter were all present.
Under Resolution (R-39-2025), the Examination and Allowance of Bills dated January 30, 2025, was read and approved. The General Fund was $71,685.23; outside general funds were $106,944.01, for a Grand Total of $178,629.24.
Under Resolution (R-41-2025), Commissioners approved an Adjustment to the County’s Capital Asset Threshold from $5,000 to $10,000.
“We hired a contract service, Julian and Grube. It’s an accounting firm,” said Commissioner Aultman. “There’s been some change in the uniform guidance in the state of Ohio. Under the new uniform guidance, we are bringing some topics for which we did not have policies in place.”
Commissioners also approved two expense requests.
Stephen Strunk & Kristopher Sullivan will be attending the Tri-County Training Center in Troy, Ohio on April 28 – May 1, 2025. The estimated total for the two is $480.00.
Rindy Dowler, Shannon Parent, Jacqueline Dickman & Jennifer Webb will be attending the Karpel Solutions National User Group Meeting in St. Louis, MI. The estimated total for the four is $4,772.30.
Upon the conclusion of the agenda of business, Commissioner Combs made a statement regarding his appreciation for our Darke County Sports Coaches.
“Athletics are a big part of the county and it’s a big part of the upbringing of our youth in the area. I just wanted to thank all of the coaches around the county at the different schools for what they do and it just goes to show that it goes a long way to developing our youth for the future.”
Commissioner Flatter expressed his sympathy to all of the friends and family who were affected by the tragedy in D.C.
