GREENVILLE – Covington travelled to Greenville for a Miami Valley Kids Wrestling Association (MVKWA) meet. The event included Milton-Union, National Trail, Centerville, Northeastern, Tipp City and host Greenville.
Taking first place for the Buccs were Jonathan Owens (3 pins), Brayden Feight (3 pins), Ryan Brown (2 pins), Jake Basye (2 pins), Cooper Turner (2 pins), Carter Owen (1 pin), Carson Bailey (2 pins), Avrie Owens, Dalton Brown (2 pins), Gavin Brown (2 pins), Oliver Ouellette (2 pins) and Mason Ouellette (2 pins).
Finishing second were Kane Bubeck (2 pins), Grayson Feight, Weston Roth (2 pins), Joseph Evans (1 pin), Brawley Sides (1 pin), Braden Hole (1 pin), Malachi Weaver (1 pin), Cyrus Trost (1 pin) and Zaidyn Sherman (2 pins).
Taking third place at the event were Kolson Petty, Callen Owen, Carter Roth, Hayden Wintrow (1 pin), Ethan Owens (1 pin) and Wyatt Kerber, while Carter Neth and Ayden Cheatle finished fourth.
Each of the kids gained valuable experience and represented Covington well. The Buccs travel to the Sidney Invitational on Sunday, January 22.
