DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ regular April 14 meeting started at 9:32 p.m. with Commissioners Aultman, Flatter, and Combs present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from April 9, 2026.
The Examination and Allowance of bills dated April 14 were presented. The General Fund amount was $20,592.28, and the Outside General Funds were $774,204.15, for a total of $794,796.43. They were approved.
Three fund advances were passed for the Grants Department. The first is $47,724.01 for the 2025 Box Hangar Grant, $7,338.25 for SME’s invoice for professional services for Treaty Lanes, and $12,085,00 for First Choice Excavation and Demo for the 118 E. Fifth St. Greenville project.
A Revenue and Appropriation increase for the Board of Elections 2026 Security and Critical Infrastructure Grant was approved. The amount was for $10,000.00.
The construction contract for striping of Darke County highways was awarded to Aero-Mark Company for $390,368.00. All work should be done by September 30th.
The final public hearing was scheduled for the 2026 CDBG Allocation and Set-Aside program for Darke County. The second hearing will be on April 28th, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at the County Administration Building on Broadway.
