DARKE COUNTY – All Three Commissioners were present at the Tuesday, July 22, 2025 regular meeting. The meeting started at 1:30 p.m. The Commissioner’s first order of business was the reading of session minutes from Thursday, the 17th. They were approved. The session proceeded with the examination and allowance of bills for July 18th and 22nd. Vouchers amounting to $17,915.83 out of the General Fund, and outside funds of $888,216.68 for a total of $906,132.51 all were approved for payment.
The IV-D Contract between the Child Services Enforcement Agency (CSEA) and the Juvenile Court was brought forth next. The contract will run from July 1, 2025, until June 30, 2026, with a unit rate of $14.99 per unit, up slightly from last year’s rate of $12.73. The total cost of the contract will be $44,976.28.
Darke County Grants Department had seven fund advances to be approved by the Commissioners. All advances were for second-quarter salary reimbursements for Susan Laux and Sally Keiser. The 2024 Demo Revitalization Grant was advanced $4229.43. The 2024 CDBG Grant was for $4,365.28. The 2023 Arcanum Critical Infrastructure Grant was for $1,192.35. Money that was advanced for the 2025 Brownfield Grant (Hamilton) totaled $2,305.23, and the 2025 Brownfield Grant (Treaty Lanes) was advanced $2,740.25. The 2023 Lead Safe Ohio Grant was for $8,142.58, and finally, the 2024 Airport Term Fuel Tank Demo Grant totaled $183.51. All money advanced will be advanced back once revenue is received from the various Grants. All advances were approved.
A Fund Advance Back to Darke County Solid Waste was for $12,550.00 from the 2023 Litter Grant.
The Darke County Animal Shelter declared two old HP printers as junk due to their end-of-life cycle and was approved by the Commissioners.
