Anna Bier Art Gallery to Offer Drawing Pastel Pumpkins Class

GREENVILLE – The Anna Bier Art Gallery, part of Darke County Center for the Arts, invites the community to embrace the colors of fall for a Drawing Pastel Pumpkins workshop on October 19th from 6:30 to 8:15 pm in the Training Room in St. Clair Memorial Hall. This class is a relaxed, beginner-friendly art class designed for anyone interested in exploring the expressive medium of soft pastels.

Participants will learn the basics of working with soft pastels while creating their own colorful pumpkin artwork. Through guided instruction, students ages 15 and older will explore techniques for building depth, dimension, and vibrant color in their drawings. The class will also introduce participants to the different papers and pastels used with pastels.

No previous pastel or drawing experience is necessary. The class is designed to be welcoming and low-pressure, making it a great opportunity for beginners to try something new, get creative, and enjoy an evening of making art. Participants should come prepared to experiment and learn artistic techniques. Please note: Your fingers will get messy!

The cost is $25 per person, with all materials included. Pre-registration is required.

The class will be taught by Jennifer Overholser, Artistic Director of Visual Arts at Darke County Center for the Arts. Students may register online at darkecountyarts.org/annabiergallery or by contacting Jennifer at 440-813-0367.

This class takes place in the training room inside St. Clair Memorial Hall at 215 E. Fourth Street in Greenville. Please use the handicap entrance on the side of the building, then follow the signs for the Training Room.
