GREENVILLE – Bunch Roofing is giving back to the community by donating materials and labor to install new roofs on buildings and dugouts at Greenville Citizens Baseball League’s Sater Heights Park.
The locally owned family business, founded in 1950, is now in its third generation of operation and continues to invest in the Greenville community it has served for decades.
“Bunch Roofing has been in business since 1950, has been family owned and operated,” said Foster Cole, vice president of operations. “We’ve been in business for 76 years. It has been a tremendous thing to be a part of.”
Cole, a 2020 Greenville Senior High School graduate, said the project focuses on improving facilities for young athletes and families who use the park.
“The buildings and dugout roofs are wearing out,” said Cole. “It is time to put new roofs on them, time to renovate.”
Work will begin with the dugouts this year, with a longer-term plan to continue improvements throughout the park.
“We are starting with the dugouts this year, get all new shingles so the kids will be protected,” said Cole. “Next year, we’re looking at putting on new metal roofs for all the rest of the buildings.”
Cole said the donation is Bunch Roofing’s way of showing appreciation for the support the company has received from the community over the years.
“We are installing the roofs at the Greenville Citizens Baseball League to help the community,” said Cole. “The community gives back to us so much for roofing work and all kinds of exterior work, so this is just a small thing we can do for the community.”
The project reflects Bunch Roofing’s long-standing commitment to Greenville and will help provide updated, safer facilities for the next generation of local ballplayers.
