Huffman announces funds for Darke County infrastructure projects

State Senator Stephen Huffman (R-Tipp City)

COLUMBUS – State Senator Steve Huffman (R-Tipp City) announced the Ohio Public Works Commission will award over $2.5 million for four infrastructure projects in Darke County.

Funding for the projects includes $900,000 for the County-Townships Joint Paving 2025 project, $815,000 for the Village of Arcanum’s South High Street Reconstruction, $498,000 for the Village of Versailles’ West Wood Street Improvements, and $327,515 for the Village of Ansonia’s Water Tower Rehabilitation project.

“These funds will help Darke County maintain and enhance infrastructure for local communities,” said Huffman. “I look forward to seeing these projects completed and put to use by the citizens of Darke County.”

The Ohio Public Works Commission Projects were selected by 19 district integrating committees based on a variety of factors, including health and safety, age and condition, and number of users. The committees also sent unfunded projects for communities with a population of 5,000 or less to compete in the OPWC Small Government Program. As part of the round, 601 projects received funding in total.
