DARKE COUNTY – On Tuesday morning at approximately 5:24 a.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with the Darke County Sheriff Accident Reconstruction Team, Greenville Township Fire and Rescue and Greenville City Fire responded to the intersection of US 36 and Westfall Road in reference to a two-vehicle accident with injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Red 2010 Ford Fusion, driven by Trevor Mardin (19) of Greenville, was traveling Eastbound on US 36. A Silver 2005 Honda Pilot, driven by Jordan Wolfrey (34) of Greenville was traveling Westbound on US 36. The two vehicles collided head-on, causing Mardin to be ejected.
Mardin was transported to Miami Valley Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Wolfrey was transported to Wayne Hospital for minor injuries.
This accident remains under investigation.
