NEW MADISON – The New Madison 4th of July had several events taking place and winners for The Little Mister & Miss Firecracker and NKTPA Tractor Pull are outlined below.

The New Madison Little Mister and Miss Firecracker sponsored by Schlechty’s Bar and Grill was held Friday, July 5th, 2024.

Dalton Stover was crowned Little Mr. Firecracker with runner-up going to Kaden Brown.

There were 8 contestants vying for Little Miss Firecracker; Sawyer Mikesell, Daezie Sperry, Penelope Grant, Jesse Woodward, Rowan Meier, Everly Richardson, Evelyn Barger, Phoebe Hill and Sloane Preston.

Phoebe Hill was crowned Ms. Firecracker, and she was dressed as Amelia Earhart and America aviator, and she would sing God Bless America to the delight of the crowd.

Phoebe Hill dressed as Amelia Earhart was crowned Little Miss Firecracker in 2024.

First Runner-up went to Daezie Sperry, and she sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Second Runner-up was Evelyn Barger who had a tea party and sang I’m a little teapot.

The National Kiddie Tractor Pullers Association was on hand to test young pullers using their feet on a pedal tractor.  The event was open to 3–4-year-olds, 5–6-year-olds and 7–8-year-olds.

In the 3-4 category the winner was 4-year-old Anna Wilson from Arcanum going 26-9”s at 230 lbs.  2nd place was Cruze Cooley of New Madison and 3rd place was Parks Graham.

In the 5-6 category the winner was 6-year-old Jeffrey Unger of Eaton with a perfect pull at 230 lbs.  2nd place was Cash Ridout of New Paris, and 3rd place was Ryker Mogle of New Madison.

In the final 7-8 category it was 7-year-old Sadie Preston of New Madison with a perfect pull at 230lbs.  2ndplace was Waylon Wilson of Arcanum and 3rd place was to Xealah Sears of New Madison.
