GREENVILLE – Steve Duncan and Jon Hein were out early on July Fourth, running the streets of Greenville, taking in the many American Flags on display throughout the city.
“It’s about our freedom, our country, the rights that we have,” Duncan said. “We prayed this morning to our Heavenly Savior, Jesus Christ, and talked about the men who died for our freedom. July Fourth is all about our freedom and this great country.”
The duo passed the Circle on Broadway and the Greenville Fire Department, with the many American Flags flying in the breeze for all to enjoy, reminding us of our great country and freedoms.
“We’re looking for flags today because flags symbolize our country, and it takes a community to put them up, it takes a community to live together,” said Hein. “You just can’t live in your house and put the garage door down every day; you have to get out and make it better.”
“I appreciate the people who put up the flags, the fire department celebrating today,” Hein added. “They are reminding us we have a responsibility, so that is what it’s all about.”
