West Main St. update

TROY – The West Main Street Phase 2 project marches onward. We thank the nearby residents for their ongoing help and patience–it is truly appreciated!

Culvert Replacement:

Crews are working on a culvert replacement between 1374 West Main Street and 1404 West Main Street. This work will extend south as crews widen the roadway. Patients of Dr. Katerakis, DDS, can park in Dr. Friend’s parking lot–thank you to these two businesses for being so neighborly!

Storm Sewer:

Milcon crews are installing a new storm sewer on the south side of West Main Street, between Ridge Avenue)and the I-75 northbound ramps. Please be vigilant while passing this construction site, as crews are working in deep trenches along the roadway.

Pavement:

Crews will place temporary pavement along the south side of West Main as storm sewer work is completed.

Trash Pickup:

This week, residents on the south side of West Main Street received flyers related to curbside trash pickup. These residents are asked to place their trash by the existing road/barrels to make it easier for the City staff to collect trash.

A Note for Drivers:

Please be mindful of traffic approaching the interstate exit ramp from the west, especially during peak traffic times, and please avoid blocking the ramp and intersections.

Construction can be a headache for drivers and residents; please understand that the crew is working to complete the project as quickly, efficiently, and effectively as possible. We ask you to please be cautious while driving through the construction zone and to abide by cones/barrels, new traffic paint markings, signs, arrow boards, signals, speed limits, and workers.
