I hope this Newsletter finds you well. Darke County continues to work its way out of the drought, as a large portion of the county is still abnormally dry (https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/CurrentMap/StateDroughtMonitor.aspx?OH). After a brief cold snap, the weather has warmed up as the first day of spring is officially here.
Saturday, March 21st, is National Ag Day. I’m certainly grateful to live in a top agricultural county in Ohio, where so many in the region are committed to feeding a growing world. Be sure to celebrate agriculture tomorrow and throughout the year!
The next Darke County Garden Roundtable will be held at the OSU Extension Office on Monday, April 27th at 6:00 p.m.
I’ll be at Worch Library on March 26th at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the Basics of Fishing. We’ll go over common fish in our region of Ohio, fishing safety, equipment, techniques, and more. I hope to see you there!
The next Darke County Ag Breakfast will be on April 17th at 7:30 a.m. at Jack’s Cabin in Greenville.
