Wayne Douglas Wolford Jr., 85 of Union City, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Reid Health, Richmond, Indiana. Wayne was born July 23, 1938, in Union City, Indiana, the Son of the late Harold Wayne and Thelma Louise (Everroad) Wolford.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his Sister, Arlette Edwards.
Wayne leaves behind a lasting legacy with his family. His children, Sherry (Ed) Kreiner, Kenneth (Cindy) Wolford, Kelly (Terry) Brewer, and Diane (Jerry) Liles. As well as 10 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Wayne had many jobs in his lifetime, a few being a Fourman at the Union City Mold, Miller Lumber Company and employee of Livingston Painting. He started his working years at 14 years old in which he started washing windows. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge, VFW, American Legion, and the Eagles. He had a love for hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting. In his spare time, he enjoyed a good happy hour with his friends and family usually found with his favorite beer, Busch Lite. When it came to grilling up food for parties, Wayne was the man for the job. Wayne was a great man he will be greatly missed by his friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Wayne Douglas Wolford Jr’s family has chosen to have a private family service. Memorial contributions can be made on behalf of Wayne to the Darke County Humane Society to help the little doggies he cared so much about!
