
VERSAILLES – The Versailles Tigers protected their home court in emphatic fashion, rolling to a 77-21 non-conference victory over the visiting Greenville Green Wave.
The night was highlighted by a milestone moment as Versailles senior Drake Ahrens knocked down a three-pointer to score his 1,000th career point in a Tigers uniform.
Versailles wasted little time asserting control, bolting out to a 24-2 first-quarter lead with five Tigers finding the scoring column. Ahrens led the opening surge with 11 points, including two 3-pointers and a perfect 3-for-3 effort at the free-throw line.
The Tigers poured it on in the second period, adding 27 more points to the scoreboard. Versailles 6’8” junior Maddox Stonebraker was red-hot from beyond the arc, draining five of his seven 3-pointers on the night, while Ahrens added eight second-quarter points, including two more triples. The dominant half sent the teams to the locker room with Versailles holding a commanding 51-9 halftime lead.

With a running clock in play throughout the second half, Versailles outscored Greenville 10-9 in the third quarter, maintaining firm control of the contest.
Both teams cleared their benches in the final period, with the Tigers adding 16 points while Greenville tacked on three, sealing the 56-point Versailles victory.
Stonebraker led all scorers with 21 points, all coming on seven 3-pointers, while Ahrens finished with 19 points, including four treys and a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the charity stripe.
