DARKE COUNTY – On Saturday, at approximately 11:50 a.m. Darke County Deputies along with Ansonia Fire and Ansonia Rescue, responded to the intersection of State Route 49N and State Route 47 in reference to a crash with injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Chevy Cruze driven by Finn Cool (28) of Fort Wayne, Indiana was traveling South on State Route 49N, approaching the stop sign at the intersection and stopped at State Route 47.
Cool failed to yield to through traffic on State 47 and traveled into the intersection, striking an eastbound 2003 Chevy Silverado driven by Gregory Stmeyer (70) of Union City, Indiana.
Stmeyer was transported to Wayne HealthCare by Ansonia Rescue for minor injuries and Cool was checked out at the scene and refused medical treatment.
Cool was issued a citation for right-of-way at a through highway.
