DARKE COUNTY – In January, the UAW Local #2413 Women’s Committee at Fram Filtration sold all Cancer Awareness buttons to show their support to their fellow UAW members who were battling cancer.

With the sale of buttons and a generous donation, they raised $500 and wore the buttons on February 4th to show their solidarity.

The $500 was donated to the Cancer Association of Darke County to help those who are battling cancer.

A big thank you to all at UAW Local #2413 who contributed to the event.

The association has served Darke County since 1995 and relies on grants, fundraisers, memorials and donations such as the one from the ladies at Fram.

Anyone living in Darke County battling cancer is encouraged to contact the office for benefits. There is no charge and the benefit lasts for 5 years.
