Troy Strawberry Festival Celebrates 50 Years

TROY – The annual Troy Strawberry Festival is one of Ohio’s most beloved summer traditions, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors to downtown Troy each year. What began in 1977 as a community celebration has grown into one of the largest and most successful festivals in the Midwest, showcasing local nonprofits, businesses, artisans, entertainment, and, of course, plenty of strawberry-themed treats. The festival serves as a major fundraiser for local organizations while highlighting the welcoming spirit of the Troy community.

In 2026, the Troy Strawberry Festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Festival activities begin on Friday, June 5, with special events and entertainment, while the main festival takes place Saturday, June 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. throughout downtown Troy and along the Great Miami River levee. Admission is free, and visitors can enjoy arts and crafts vendors, live entertainment, a car cruise, races, contests, family activities, and an incredible variety of strawberry desserts and specialties.

Highlights of the 2026 festival include the Strawberry Classic 5K and 10K races, the Little Miss and Mr. Strawberry Pageant, pie-eating contests, children’s activities, live music on multiple stages, and the popular Cruise-In. Festival organizers expect another outstanding turnout as the community celebrates five decades of one of Ohio’s premier summer festivals.
