ARREST SUMMARY 

December 9, 10:15 am. T.R. Weaver arrested Jason L. Gilbert at Dellwood Dr on the offense of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. 

December 9, 2:59 pm. S.R. Schipper arrested John D. Smith at W Main St. on the offense of Theft. 

December 11, 6:12 pm. C.A. Chalfant arrested Charles R. Gump at Red Cedar Dr on the offenses of Criminal Damaging/Endangering and Discharging Firearms. 

December 12, 9:50 am. T. Iverson arrested Artillus Porter at W Main St. on the offense of Theft. 

December 12, 3:57 pm. B.M. ONeal arrested Perry D. Baldwin at W Main St on the offense of Theft. 

December 13, 1:42 am. T.J. Bragg arrested Erica J. Kuhn at Meadow LN on the offenses of Assault/Knowingly Harming Victim and Criminal Damaging/Endangering. 

ANIMAL COMPLAINT 

December 8, 10:21 am. Ptl. J. Deal responded to an animal complaint. A sick raccoon was disposed of and removed from the property. 

ACCIDENT WITH NO INJURY

December 8, 10:59 am. Troy units responded to W Main St in reference to a crash. A driver was issued a citation. 

December 8, 11:15 am. A driver was cited for ACDA due to a crash on W Main St. at I-75. 

December 11, 10:26 am. A vehicle drove past a stop sign, striking another vehicle on S Mulberry St. at E West St. The offending driver was cited. 

LOST/FOUND PROPERTY

December 8, 2:39 pm. PNC employees found a black airlift gun in their bushes. Report taken, extra checks conducted. 

TRAFFIC STOP

December 8, 4:38 pm. Ptl. K. Duchak initiated a traffic stop. The driver was issued a citation for driving under suspension. 

December 8, 5:08 pm. Ptl. K. Duchak initiated a traffic stop. The driver was issued citations for driving under suspension, and brake lights required. 

December 9, 10:14 am. Sgt. J. Misirian stopped and cited a driver for having no brake lights on his vehicle and for having a Suspended (4x) OH OL on Dye Mill Rd south of E Main St.

December 11, 10:34 am. A traffic stop resulted in a citation for speed. 

December 12, 1:10 am. Ptl. Spohn initiated a traffic stop at W. Main St. and N Weston Rd for a vehicle traveling in excess of the posted speed limit. A report was taken, and a citation was issued. 

December 12, 8:41 am. Sgt. J. Misirian stopped a driver for a moving violation on Canal St and Oak St and ended up issuing a citation for No Seatbelt. 

December 12, 9:57 pm. Sgt. J. Misirian stopped and cited a driver for speeding on Ridge Ave and Drury Lane. 

December 12, 1:06 pm. Sgt. J. Misirian stopped and cited a driver for having expired registration on Main St and I-75. 

December 13, 6:10 am. Ptl. J. Gates made a traffic stop on Stanfield Rd for a speed violation. A citation was issued. 

December 13, 8:43 am. Ptl. Shane Marker conducted a traffic stop on Mckaig Ave near Armand Dr. The driver was issued a citation for DUS.

December 14, 8:23 pm. Ptl. K. Duchak initiated a traffic stop. The driver was issued citations for driving under suspension and license plate display. The registered owner was warned for wrongful entrustment. 

JUNK VEHICLE

December 9, 8:06 am. Sgt. J. Misirian located a blue Chevrolet Equinox parked in a gravel driveway on N Madison St. The vehicle’s two passenger side tires were flat, and the entire passenger compartment was filled with household items up to and including the two front seats. Misirian completed a green notification sticker, placed it on the vehicle, and completed a two-page notification form, personally giving it to the owner, Susan Ison, to have the vehicle moved/repaired by Monday, December 18, at 7 am. 

December 9, 9:26 am. Sgt. J. Misirian located a blue Chevrolet Suburban. The registration had expired on 10-27-2023; the vehicle’s rear driver’s side tire was flat and had not been moved in weeks. Misirian placed a green notification sticker on the vehicle. Misirian completed the two-page notification form and personally served it to the owner at her residence. The vehicle is to be moved, renewed, and repaired by Monday, December 18th, at 7 am.

December 10, 12:55 pm. Sgt. J Misirian located a silver Pontiac Grand Am on Norwich Rd at Henley Rd with a rear, driver’s side flat tire and no license plates. Misirian checked the VIN, and it showed the plates had expired on 11-14-2023. Misirian contacted the plates’ owner, James Zimpfer, who said he sold it to Donald Price of Piqua.  Zimpfer said he contacted Price, who claimed he sold it to relatives who in turn sold it to “other people.” Misirian tried to call Price’s phone number listed in Spillman, but it did not work.  Zimpfer could not provide me with Price’s phone number either. Misirian placed a green notification sticker on the vehicle for it to be corrected by December 19th, 2023, at 7 am.  I had a two-page notification form submitted to be mailed to Price.

DRIVING WITHOUT CONSENT

December 9, 9:15 am.  The complainant gave her ex-boyfriend permission to use her vehicle. He did not return the car after the times she wanted it back. Charges were filed on the male half for DWOC. The vehicle entered into NCIC/LEADS as a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered on 12/10/2023.

TRESPASSING COMPLAINT

December 10, 4:15 am. Troy units responded to W Main St Shell Gas Station in report of a male in the bathroom who had been trespassed from the location. The male was arrested and transported to Miami County Jail. 

December 14, 7:48 am. Officers were dispatched to Motel 6 in regards to Trespassing. One Male was taken into custody and charged with possession of Drugs. 

THEFT NOT IN PROGRESS

December 10, 6:30 am. A trailer was broken into on a construction site on Experiment Farm Rd. Multiple tools were taken. The surveillance video was obtained from the business. Suspects are not identified at this time. 

RECKLESS OPERATION

December 11, 9:24 am. Ptl. T. Iverson responded to Troy bus garage in reference to a vehicle running a school bus stop sign. The driver was identified and issued a citation. 

ACCIDENT WITH INJURY

December 12, 5:47 pm. Ptl H.W. Bradburn was dispatched to W Main St for a reported traffic accident with injuries. An adult female was given a citation for Failure to Control. 

DISTURBANCE/FIGHT

December 13, 1: 42 am. Troy officers arrived at Meadow Lane in response to a disturbance. A suspect was identified, and an arrest was made.
