Troy PD welcomes newest officer

TROY – Mayor Robin Oda swore in Troy Ohio Police Department’s newest officer last week. Jose Barron graduated from Hoover High School in Fresno, California, in 2013.

Officer Barron enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2018, attending Basic Training and Technical School for Security Forces (Military Police) in San Antonio, Texas. He was stationed at the 88th Security Forces Squadron at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio, and achieved the rank of Senior Airman (E-4). He began training at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy in August 2024 and graduated last week.

Officer Barron will start Troy’s Field Training Officer program, working alongside experienced officers and learning about our community. Welcome to Troy!
