Troy heroes honored at Miami County Law Enforcement Award Ceremony

TROY – Several Troy officers and firefighters were recently honored at the Miami County Law Enforcement Award Ceremony at the Arbogast Performing Arts Center.

Lucas Schlumpf received Troy’s Officer of the Year Award. Andrew Bates of the Troy Fire Department was honored as Career Firefighter of the Year.

Recently retired Officer Chris Baker was recognized for his honorable 25-year career and work on Troy’s CALEA accreditation. He received the Meritorious Service Award.

Troy Police Chief Shawn McKinney awarded the Chief’s Commendation Medal to the following staff for outstanding work on individual cases in 2024:
