GREENVILLE – Trigger Outdoor Sports had its Greenville store grand opening Saturday, July 15. This new firearms store located at 639 Wagner Ave is family owned and is their third store.
Rick Hawley and his family started this business in 2011 in Winchester, Indiana. They opened their second store in New Castle, Indiana, in 2013, and now their third store is open in Greenville, Ohio.
“This is the smallest of the three stores; we are still growing,” Hawley said. “We sell pretty much anything, from kids’ trainers and starter rifles to semi-auto AR and handguns.”
Ask the staff if you need help figuring out where to start or have questions about what you want. Not only is Hawley’s family very knowledgeable about firearms, but so are the people they hire. The majority of their staff is prior military or prior law enforcement. Everyone there has experience with firearms and knows what they are talking about.
“We try to cater to anybody’s wants,” Hawley said. “We try to get people what fits them. Not what fits the budget or fits the criteria, it’s what actually fits them.”
Hawley and his family are also excited to start working with local businesses. This is something they have done with their previous stores. They are giving a way to help customers continue to shop locally.
“It’s hard being a small business regardless,” Hawley said. “So anything we can do to help somebody is one step closer to bettering them. We better them; they better us.”

Trigger Outdoor Sports is open Tuesday through Friday 10:00 AM -6:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM -3:00 PM at 639 Wagner Ave.
