Travis resigns from GHS after being charged with a sexual relationship with 15-year-old student

GREENVILLE – On September 4, the Greenville Police Department was notified of an alleged inappropriate relationship involving a staff member at Greenville High School and a minor student.

The individual in question, 39-year-old Justin M. Travis, is accused of engaging in sexual relations with a 15-year-old student on multiple occasions. Following an initial investigation, Mr. Travis was arrested and is charged with sexual battery, a felony of the second degree.

On September 5th, 2025, Justin Travis rendered his resignation to Greenville City Schools. The administration of Greenville City Schools has been cooperative with the investigation and is assisting investigators with obtaining information related to the incident.

Additional charges are currently under review by the Darke County Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing and is being actively pursued by the Greenville Police Department.

Due to the sensitive nature of the case and the involvement of a minor, no further details will be released at this time.
