GREENVILLE – We want to invite the community to come out and enjoy our first-ever Sensory-Friendly Movie event on Tuesday, Aug. 12, hosted by The Wayne Theater in downtown Greenville.
Disney’s new Lilo and Stitch will be an inclusive show, meaning it is not just for people with sensory sensitivities. We want friends and family to attend as well, allowing everyone to enjoy the fun of being at the movies!
The Wayne Theater is committed to offering a more comfortable and inclusive experience for children and adults with sensory sensitivities, including those with autism or other special needs. The environment will be adjusted to reduce potential triggers (increased lighting and decreased sound) and allow for greater freedom of movement as well as an invitation to bring personal comfort items.
Please reach out to Sue Huston at sueh@darkedd.org or 937.459.4629 with questions and we’ll see you at the movies!
