Thomas Dailey Jr., age 95, of Greenville, Ohio, graduated to his heavenly home on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10:30 pm at Kettering Health Hospital in Kettering, Ohio. Born in Norwood, Ohio, on April 6, 1928, to the late Maude (Hendricks) and Thomas Dailey Sr.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Dailey III, Brothers Jesse Dailey, Robert (Bob) Dailey, and Gilbert Dailey, his sister-in-law Ruby Dailey, Sisters Christine Dailey Statts and Anna May Dailey Parks, and his late Wife Dorothy M Adams Dailey.
Tom is survived by his Wife, Vivian Dailey, and his Children, John (Brenda) Dailey, Dan Dailey, and Tammy (John) Damron. As well as his Grandchildren, Brian Scott (Rhonda) Dailey, Patrick (Chelsey) Dailey, Sean (Andrea) Dailey, Michael Watson, Jesse (Holly) Watson, Darcy (Justin) Yant, Travis Manuel, and Brandon Manuel. And his loving great-grandchildren, Alex Dailey, Emma Dailey, Lola Watson, Alice Watson, Cayden Breier, Lucy Breier, Olivia Breier, Axel Manuel, Maverick Manuel, Liam Manuel, Cohen Dailey, Porter Dailey, and Bronwyn Watson.
Tom started school in a one-room schoolhouse in Lancaster, Kentucky. When he was younger he drove a truck, then worked for the Civil Services for the Government, Dayton Tire & Rubber, Eventually he retired from GM with 30 years of service there. He had went to a specialist school to become a technician on mobile equipment for inland division of General Motors. In addition to all his other jobs, he was a part-time farmer. He enjoyed fishing and had a love of horses; he would show them occasionally. He also loved to hunting, swimming, water skiing, and boating. He was an avid gardener. Tom learned to drive a Model A when he was 11 years old, and he had driven one ever since. Tom was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenville. He will be dearly missed by his family and his friends. He was a very kind man.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church in memory of Thomas Dailey. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, Greenville. Funeral service to follow at 12 pm with Pastor Jim Meredith presiding. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Fort Jefferson.
