GREENVILLE – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Yarn Remedy is partnering with Dave Knapp Ford Lincoln of Greenville, Ohio, to host a knitted knocker drive in support of Knitted Knockers, a nonprofit that provides handmade prosthetic breasts to women who have undergone mastectomies. The donation window runs from October 15th through November 7, with a drawing for donors held on November 8.
Donations can be dropped off at Dave Knapp Ford Lincoln at any time during business hours within that period. The goal: to fill the frunk of a new 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E with donated knitted knockers, celebrating community compassion in a highly visible way. Each valid donation equals one entry into the drawing for one of three gift cards to The Yarn Remedy.
In an added commitment to the community, for every new Ford EV sold at Dave Knapp Ford Lincoln for the remainder of 2025, The Yarn Remedy will donate $100 to the Cancer Association of Darke County. This pledge ensures that in addition to knitting contributions, the purchase of clean-energy vehicles will help fund local cancer support services in Darke County.
Sit & Stitch Events at Dave Knapp Ford Lincoln
To encourage participation and community building, The Yarn Remedy will host two Sit & Stitch sessions inside the Dave Knapp showroom:
Saturday, October 18 — 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Saturday, October 25 — 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
During Sit & Stitch events, crafters may use the approved yarn supplied by The Yarn Remedy (meeting Knitted Knockers’ specifications) to create prosthetic knockers on site. Outside these sessions, donors must provide their own yarn per the approved list.

Why This Matters in October
