Terry “Bug” Allen Waters, age 43, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at his home surrounded by the people he loved.
Terry was born August 5, 1981 in Huntington, Indiana, the son of Mary Campbell and Patrick Waters. Terry was always a wild child. You would find Terry either fishing in a lake or hunting down mushrooms in the woods. Terry loved to travel and spent his best
memories with his family and friends alongside him. He was known to be very loyal, kind, and loving and loved being with people.
Terry is preceded in death by his father Patrick Waters and his grandfather Terry Wininger.
Terry is survived by his wife Cindy Garey of Greenville, finally marrying his soulmate of 16 years on June 28, 2025. He is survived by his son Zachary Westgate of Greenville and daughter Ashley Weatherspoon of Huntington, Indiana. Terry is also survived by
his brothers Christopher Waters (Tiffany) and Mathew Waters (Michelle), both of Greenville, as well as his sister Brandy Waters of Florida. Terry leaves behind his mother Mary Campbell (Julie) of Huntington, Indiana as well as many aunts, uncles, niece, nephews
and great nieces. He is survived by his grandmother Vicky Wininger. Terry also leaves behind his best companion, Gizmo the dog. He fought with courage, grace and unwavering hope during a long battle with cancer. He was a force to be reckoned with and made
many lasting friends and memories.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Christopher Waters officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions
may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
