Tena (Leichty) Black, 54, of Versailles passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio.
Tena was born on January 13, 1968, in Greenville, Ohio, the daughter of Evan and Marjorie (Rue) Leichty of Versailles.
Tena worked as a waitress for 24 years at Sideliners in Versailles then at the Russia Inn. Tena was a loving and caring person and was always helping others in any way she could; her love also extended to animals and she would do all she could to help them as well; She enjoyed riding motorcycles, living life with her grandkids, and time with family in any form. She also enjoyed traveling and doing different things out in nature.
Tena is preceded in death by her grandparents, Waldo and Dorthea Schellenberg, and Mildred Dill, and Noah Leichty; her sister in law, Debbie Leichty; and her nephew, Michael Voisard.
Tena is survived by her children, Tesha Rutter and her partner Daniel Bradley of Versailles, Jordan Rutter of Greenville, and Jesse Rutter and her partner Kenny; her grandchildren, Star Ridenouer, Skylyn Bradley, Aleara Bradley, Kingsten Rutter; her siblings, Evan Leichty Jr., Travis Leichty, and Twila Kay and Robert Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Farm Sanctuary.
